Roots Embraced

The life I led before the pandemic was one where I was beginning to pave my way towards my artistic ambitions. I was taking charge of my own life, constantly making new friends, sisters, and brothers, as well as being independent in the way I think and act. And then the pandemic struck. I suddenly found myself spending so much more time with family again, but this time it was different. To be with my family during these challenging times made me appreciate my roots, a feeling I had never experienced before. I have learned to embrace my roots, as I realized that I wouldn’t be who I am today if not for who I was yesterday.
